Fold the corners in as shown. By the way, if you're having problems following my directions (or even if you aren't), I highly recommend you purchase the book Origami for the Connoisseur. It's an all around excellent book and it's where I first learned to fold roses. I've made a few changes to the way that I fold them, but the book contains one of Mr. Kawasaki's original methods as well as some of his other designs. Check it out!
